Eric & Albert is at an exciting time of expansion and we’re looking for some wonderful staff to join our little family business to help us grow and keep up with demand whilst staying true to our main values. We promote sustainable living whilst producing whimsical natural toys to spark little imaginations with heirloom pieces and right now our small, established, family business is looking to fill the below positions at our workshop in Llanfyllin, Powys, Wales.

 

 


WORKSHOP ASSISTANT

The position is for a Workshop Assistant who would work closely with us in the production and finishing of wooden toys assisting in our workshop.


Duties will include:-

  • Operating and maintaining various hand tools, power tools (including but not limited to: scroll saw, bench sander, mitre saw);
  • hand finishing items to a high standard; and
  • sweeping, cleaning and maintaining a tidy working environment.
       

What we are looking for:

This role would suit a creative individual with a keen eye for detail and an interest in traditional crafting and design. We have two positions available including a full time 30-37.5 hours per week and part-time 15-20 hours a week position. Working hours will be Mon to Fri with opportunities for overtime and room for flexible working once training is complete. The position is initially a three month trial on a casual basis, leading to either a full/part time position in due course. Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Attitude and approach is more important with the following key personality traits desirable:

  • Experience and confidence with hand and power tools desirable, but not essential;
  • attention to detail;
  • a desire and passion to craft and create;
  • a desire to learn new things and take on new challenges;
  • an interest in ethical and environmental issues is desirable;
  • an interest in traditional crafting methods.

 


 

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

The position is for a Customer Service Assistant who would work very closely with us in maintaining our close and professional relationship with our valuable customers whilst assisting in day-to-day admin.  Our main priorities are making sure our wonderful supporters/ customers are kept happy and informed with timely communication a priority.


Duties will include:-

  • Tagging toys;
  • packing of orders,
  • processing customer orders;
  • processing customer accounts and payments;
  • support with social media accounts;
  • responding to customers queries via email and social media

What we’re looking for:-

This is a part time position of 6-10 hours a week. We’re very flexible and happy for some of the online assistance hours to be worked from home. Packing hours will be working alongside us at our workshop in Llanfyllin, Powys with the opportunity to take overtime during busy periods.

  • Someone with enthusiasm and a positive demeanour;
  • excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook);
  • a confident, friendly and articulate telephone and email manner;
  • a high standard of numeracy and language skills;
  • attention to detail;
  • a desire to learn new things and take on new challenges;
  • an interest in sustainable living and environmental issues is desirable.

 

 

PAINTING ASSISTANT

We are looking for a painting assistant to join our team who would work very closely with us in our workshop in Llanfyllin, Powys, Wales.


Duties will include:-

  • Main role will be to help with painting the finished products;
  • occasional help tagging toys; and
  • occasional help packing and processing orders

 

What we are looking for:

This role would suit a creative individual with a keen eye for detail and an interest in traditional crafting and design. We are looking for someone to support us part time for 12-15 hours per week initially with potential for more hours in time on an ad-hoc basis. The position is initially a three month trial on a casual basis, leading to either a full/part time position in due course. Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Attitude and approach is more important with the following key personality traits desirable:

  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • a desire to learn new things and take on new challenges;
  • an interest in ethical and environmental issues is desirable;
  • an interest in traditional crafting methods;
  • a creative/crafty individual by nature.

 

 

Salaries are negotiable depending on experience.
